Haen, Dirk

Research profile

Drs. D.F. HAEN is a fresh PhD candidate in the Philosophy Department at the University of Twente. He recently embarked on an NWO-project on responsible innovation in food technology. His supervisors are prof. dr. Tsjalling Swierstra and prof. dr. Philip Brey.

From 2000 to 2008 Dirk studied Philosophy at the Universiteit van Amsterdam. From 2006 to 2009 he taught undergraduate courses in philosophy and interdisciplinary studies in Amsterdam. He is a member of the editorial board of Krisis – journal for contemporary philosophy.

Fields of interest: epistemology, deliberation and democracy theory, ethics, philosophy of technology, pragmatism.
