Jacobs, J.F. (Urjan)
Research profile
Urjan Jacobs is a biochemical engineer who has moved from research interests in design of bio-mimicry and environmental technology to social and ethical aspects of nanobiotechnology. He received his BSc in Chemical and Biochemical Engineering and his MSc in Biochemical Engineering at Delft University of Technology. Subsequently, he worked as a researcher in the field of biotechnology focussing on process design of environmental nanotechnology. At present, he is PhD-student at Delft University of Technology working on communication and responsibility within nanobiotechnology within the Department of Biotechnology. The project is jointly supervised by Prof. Julian Kinderlerer, Prof. Jeroen van der Hoven, Dr. Ibo van der Poel en Dr. Patricia Osseweijer.
